I think holidays are a big conpiracy organised by the school and parents so that parents can go, "Are you sure you're studying correctly?" and the school can take a nice long break.
Blah. Student is the worse occupation I've ever come across.
Just look at this.
1) Long working hours.
Sit at desk longer than 9 to 5. Not counting homework, or CCA stuff that leaves you running around.
2) No pay.
Unless you join competitions (and win prize money), which is considered outside of work. Or else you're a genius and get scholarships ("bonuses")
3) Has a rigorous assement period every end of year, without fail. And several 'surprise' assements during coursetime. Not counting the big nationwide assessments every now and then.
4) Have compulsory celebrations where the admin forces you to do silly things.

But then again, we get more holidays than any other job on the planet. And it's not worth paying us since we don't produce anything. (But then, that means insurance agents would never get paid.
