It's all Meia's fault!

If you happen to be working on some creative writing project, fanfiction or NaNoWriMo or what have you, post exactly one sentence from each of your current work(s) in progress in your journal. It should probably be your favorite or most intriguing sentence so far, but what you choose is entirely your discretion. Mention the title (and genre) if you like, but don't mention anything else -- this is merely to whet the general appetite for your forthcoming work(s).

Well, here's what I have to offer:
1) "Death. Revenge." Sophie's pale, dry hands twisted the skirt of her white dress into knots.

2) Her voice could have changed the climate in several tropical countries.

3) "You can wait," said Bruce. "I'm going to make a phone call."

4) When no one's watching, when her mind drowsily whirls through the day's happenings just before she falls asleep, she's jerked back to wakefulness by the sudden suffocating feeling that all this is wrong, a little voice that tells her that this isn't the right way.

5) Robin had muttered not so softly about monitor screens and chequebooks, until she used her telekinesis to drop the game station on his head.

Anyone who can guess which fics are what gets the fic dedicated to them.
