And again on making banners. Stumbled on a board where a user had used my banner without crediting me. When I first discovered it, I had the usual feelings of maim and destroy, and I finally understand why some people delete their blog posts. It's only after things have been done to you that you realise you've given away too much, that it's left a hole where it used to be, and you have to get it back at all costs.
Cause you know, when I make a banner, I really put my heart and soul into it. I spend time picking the right images and getting the right texts and fonts and putting it in the right way... just so. And when I'm done it's a part of me, right there, just in image form, and it bites when they don't even credit me. And I didn't even ask them to link back.
But I won't take the page down, because that's not the way I live. It's for my enjoyment and for my friends' enjoyment and I'm not going to take it away just because of some idiots.
Besides, you always run the risk of being broken when you give part of yourself away.
