Edit: Indeed! Bootleg but gorgeous.
So, yesterday.
1) Movie ads
Are the most tempting things in the universe. Saw more movies that I want to see. Argh.
2) Cake!
Got my first ever birthday cake (slice?) that wasn't bought by my family from Jeanette. It was lovely lovely tiramisu cake, which sadly, she didn't share.
3) Pride and Prejudice
Fun fun FUN romp, if only for the pianoforte being played throughout, the many dances, and the gorgeous scene angles. Also! A Elizabeth Bennett that loves walking, reading and runs in the rain when she's upset! (A woman after my own heart.) And Mr Darcy doesn't look much on the movie ads, but he's so charming in the movie that I can very well see how Elizabeth would fall in love with him despite him being so miserable and distant and uptight. Also loved the portrayal of Jane Bennett and Mr Bigley; they're both such adorable sweethearts, especially Mr Bigley with the unexpected red hair and the bright bright smile.
The movie is guilty of caricature though, especially with Mr Colin, Mr Wickham and Lydia, and Mrs Benett. Would make some Jane Austen fans scream and complain (which they did, after the movie). Works better as a romantic comedy for schoolgirls or couples, rather than a good making of a literary novel.
4) CDs
I will never buy CDs again, because the Andrew Lloyd Webber CD I jumped on turned out to be a weird mix of instrumental and vocal. Returned it, rather annoyed.
5) Nightmares
I should stop having them. Even if random university friends as well as Renji and Rukia suddenly decide to pop up. (Why no Ichigo though? *mystified*) Especially not if they feature horse corpses that turn out to be a shipwreck with a horse figurehead, and tsunamis.
After reading this poem, I think shall add Pablo Neruda to my favourite poets collection.
