Things of note today:
1) The puff of hot air that seeped out from between the crack of the backseats at the back of the bus.
2) Clothes slogans:
Strongest threat embroidered on the back of a pair of jeans
Take a bite printed on the back of a T-shirt
(The above two articles of clothing were worn by the same guy, though not at the same time or it would have been hilarious)
F.B.I: Female Body Inspector. For an appointment, call 1800-MY HOUSE
Last one takes the CAKE for cheesy come-on lines.
3) Gorgeous GORGEOUS Chinese New Year decorations:
Today as the MRT pulled into the station, I saw a splash of coloured light from the corner of my eye. I didn't think much of it until I got out... then I saw the decorations in full colour. There were arches of lanterns that looked broad swathes of lights filtered through coloured paper. They were overflowing with light: bright, glowing containers of red, orange and yellow that fiercely burned oval shaped colours into the night sky. All along the road the trees had been festoned with hanging lights, like stars threaded on a dangling string. And for some reason, huge green spotlights were nestled in the crook of the trees, throwing light upwards into the canopy. Because of that, each leaf seemed to glow with its own irridescence.
I LOVE the decorations.
