Day 7: 16/5/2007

Today was spent shopping. Both Myers and David Jones had sales and so my mom and I decided to go and check out the sale. The things were pretty expensive still, and so we were a little disappointed. I was randomly browsing through shoes when I found a very nice pair with no price tag. Curious, I asked for the price. It was $29, down from $50! That is why I am now the proud owner of a very nice pair of shoes. (You can see it here)

Other than that, I also found some nice shotglasses. They had lovely designs on them that showed bits of Australia culture. I'm going to give them to the guys from 3I.

The rest of the time was spent in the hotel, waiting for the bus. I tried out the gym and have decided that exercise is good. And Jie was right: there are seriously a lot of stars at night. There is no cloud cover so they're very easy to spot. Lovely.

Tonight is our flight back to Singapore. My feelings are mixed. For one, the return comes as a little of a suprise. But I also feel that I've exhausted the tourisy places that this place has to offer without driving. I'm also missing my dad and all my friends. It's time to head back.

Will I go travelling again? Definitely. Though this trip was occassionally exhausting, there's nothing like a good trip overseas to broaden the mind and make home all the sweeter.
