Today was one of the most awesome days that I've had in a while. It started out normally enough, with me back at the office at MAS. I never really realised how much my desk feels like home. Putting up my pass in its usual spot dangling from the cupboard handle, I actually felt comfortable. I even cleared spaces for my cactus and my Robot Heroes, and it felt really good.
Then I headed for my training, and it's SO good to see all the TOs again. I've never laughed so much in my life. I really love my fellow TOs. We had lunch together and everything, and I must say I've missed that too.
After work, I met up Tracy and Lynn and Jie and it's just so wonderful to have so many people you just feel so comfortable around. Not to mention that we did a lot of exciting things. First we went to the riverside hawker centre, called Makansutra Gluttons Place. It really lives up to its name in the sense that all the servings were so HUGE. We shared a lot of the food. The good thing is that we were able to share quite a lot of stuff so it worked out in the end.
Then we headed to Max Brenners for dessert. It's a chocolate place, and thus terribly sinful. We had chocolate with 3 different types of chocolate and bananas, strawberries, marshmellows and cake. We also had different drinks. Tracy had the most gorgeous Italian Dark Hot Chocolate, Lynn had Venezulan Milk Chocolate, Jie had Sucko, which is self-made hot chocolate. I myself had melted Dark Truffle with Irish cream, espresso and spices. It wasn't as good as Tracy's hot chocolate, but it was definitely unique.
We had spotted some Japanese folk dance display to be held in the performance area, and so grabbed the chance to watch. We ended up volunteering to dance along, and I've never had the chance to really let loose like that. It seems that everytime we're in Esplanade, we end up participating in some arts demonstration.
On a high after the folk dancing, we decided to walk by the riverside, where I was obnoxious and had a long long singing session. It was both fun and mortifying, and I was completely shameless. We also took a lot of great photos. We took one of the four of us against the Esplanade that I am very tempted to use as my computer background instead of the obnoxious Lamborghini I have now. (It's a very nice Lamborghini though. =D)
All in all, today: BEST DAY EVER.
