Went out with Rachel, who gave me Hellboy and vodka.
My first time consuming alcohol (more than a sip) was at Wrappa Mania in Plaza Sing. It was vodka with lemon (5% alcohol) and as it was better cold I finished up my Coke to use the ice cubes. Vodka goes really well with lemon. (But don't worry, I'm not going to be an alcoholic anytime.) I think I'll order that if I have to get a drink.
Anyway, after we finished the vodka, Rachel gave me the bottle to take home. On impulse, I stuffed a foldable straw inside. When she finally hit it into my head that it was a really strange thing to do, I tried to get the straw out and it promptly got stuck in the bottle.
I laughed. And laughed. And couldn't stop laughing. Possibly I was drunk. But it took a lot of effort for me to stop laughing. Eventually we got the straw out when I folded my receipt into a hook sort of thingie and pulled the straw out by the bendy bit.
Later, we went on a madcap journey to look at stuff we couldn't buy. A pair of boots that caught our eye cost $668, original price $1588 or something like that. And we actually tried on clothes. *evil laughter*
About Hellboy, I liked it, even though the art is nothing to shout about. But the story-board person is very good, he knows which scene will get the point across without fancy art, and the stories are well-written, even though they are rewrites of some old folk-tales. Very gothic. I read The Chained Coffin and Others, and my two favourite stories are A Christmas Underground and The Chained Coffin. But the story I really want is Pancakes, which is in The Right Hand of Doom. Must... borrow...!
