And it happens again! Yet another person (lady at my office) asks me if I'm Singaporean. Ever since university, this seems to be a really popular question for me. Tally to date,
Indonesian Chinese: 12
Malaysian Chinese: 2
PRC: 1

I once even had a lady speak Bahasa Indonesia to me (although it may have been due to the fact that everyone else from AIESEC there could speak that language). And I even get mistaken by the natives! First my gender, now my origins... oh well, at least I'm unmistakably Chinese.

For the record, I am a true blue (red?) Singaporean Chinese. Although I don't mind being mistaken for British/Hong Kong Chinese. But I don't speak Cantonese, so that's very unlikely.
