Thank you Lynn, Tracy and Jie for the well-wishes for my first day of work card. It is really lovely, thank you! I think I will take it to work and put it somewhere where I can look at it every day.

Today I got an MP3 player, a Sony NW-HD5. It was on offer at Harvey Norman, so I picked it up on a whim. It is QUITE AWESOME. Even though parts of the music transfer thing is retarded (I have my licenses in order! I honestly do!) it's quite nice. The sound quality is absolutely awesome, and I'm getting to get familiar with the controls. It's quite fun.

Quite amusingly, the player I got at first was pink in colour. However, I remember Jaina telling me that I should get a white mp3 player so that I could call it Shirayuki. So I immediately traded it in for a silver one, and I must say that it's really pretty. Nice and shiny. I saw a guy with a pink one and he was looking at my box enviously. Poor guy, lucky me.

And yes, I did name my player Shirayuki.
